About the event

Welcome!!! On Wednesday, Dec. 6, from 6-8pm join Death over Drafts Crafters Johanna Munson, Peace of Mind Guide; Danielle Gordon, End of Life Doula; and Kathryn Lafond, Spiritual Guide, all part of the EdgeWalking  collective, at the Sisters' Cider House on Bainbridge Island, WA.

Death over Drafts is an informal event about all things death and dying. We will be brewing up conversations using The Death Deck, a lively tool to navigate many topics related to death. Most of all, we want to encourage meaningful connections and have fun while de-stigmatizing talk about the inevitable.

Register here: Yes-I will join you!

Death over Drafts gatherings include 30 minutes of mingling, 60 minutes of playing The Death Deck, followed by 30 minutes of reflection and sharing.

Details:

  • Event is free
  • All are welcome
  • This is an empathetic and supportive community/ gathering yet not a support group.
  • You can still come if you don't love cider;)
  • Event is free
  • In this communal environment, we remind you to be responsible for your own engagement.

Death over Drafts (Happy Hour) started with a brewing vision to bring people together and create meaningful connections by combining two passions—craft beer and conversations on end-of-life.

The first in person event was held as part of Let's Reimagine Festival (2019) in San Francisco. Since then Death over Drafts has had success at different greater Los Angeles breweries and on Zoom when we pivoted during COVID.

Every Death over Drafts gathering has a different vibe based on who is co-crafting, aka hosting. While these gatherings provide an opportunity for those who serve in the end-of-life field to gather and reflect personally and professionally along with the curious...one thing is constant: all are welcome.

Are you interested in becoming a Death over Drafts Crafter aka Host in your community? Inquire Here to find out more about being part of a network of like-minded individuals who welcome conversations on end-of-life.
